CARM UI Changes

On October 5, 2024, the Candata application will start using the CAD UI changes as the default, in place of the B3 UI.  The B3 UI will still be available after October 5, in tandem with the CAD changes.

Creating a CAD

To create a CAD document, either use the CAD tool item, or if a B3 has already been created, by clicking the Create on the CAD section of the Shipment.

CAD Details

To view the CAD version of a detail, before October 5, 2024, right click on any detail and select CAD Detail.  On October 5, 2024, this will become the default screen. To view the B3 version after that point, right click, and select B3 Detail.

Calculations

Each line will be calculated using the CARM API while it is being saved.  You can also calculate the duties and taxes by clicking the Calculate button on the details screen.

The entire shipment can be calculated by the CARM API by using the Calculate menu item on the CARM tool item menu drop down.

Outstanding CADs

The Outstanding B3s screen will be relabelled Outstanding CADs after October 4, 2024.  The process for sending outstanding entries will be the same.  For customers using Auto CADEX - there is an Auto CAD replacement that can be enabled once the backlog has been cleared, and regular/current shipments are being processed.

LVS

An updated LVS dashboard and consolidation screen have been created to help manage the increased volume of LVS consolidations that will occur with each importer consolidating under their on BN.
